Teacher Training Program Held at Millennium World School, Samana

"Learning is a continuous process of gaining knowledge and skills, which never stops."

— Dr. KK Johri

Traditional teaching methods have faced challenges, and many new developments have emerged to help update teachers with the latest advancements in education.

A teacher training program was recently held at Millennium World School, Samana, led by Mrs. Monika Chopra, who has 18 years of teaching experience and hails from Chandigarh. The focus of the session was the New Education Policy (NEP) and innovative teaching techniques. Mrs. Chopra, a seasoned educator, shared insights on how the NEP is set to transform education in India, emphasizing skill development, critical thinking, and holistic learning approaches.

She also introduced modern teaching strategies that can be applied in classrooms to engage students more effectively, such as the use of digital tools, experiential learning, and activity-based learning. Teachers were encouraged to adopt these methods to create more interactive and student-centered learning environments, aligning with the goals of the NEP.

The principal, Mrs. Shalini Cajla, acknowledged Mrs. Chopra’s valuable contribution to enhancing the teachers’ understanding of the evolving educational framework and praised her for sharing practical insights that would greatly benefit both educators and students.

The event concluded on a positive note, with a brief interaction between the speaker and the staff, allowing for further discussion and reflection on the topics covered. To mark the end of the program, the school hosted a refreshment session, providing an opportunity for informal networking and fostering a sense of camaraderie among the participants.
